Compare upgrade budgets using your own game data
Previous versions of our equipment guides published precise success rates and costs without supporting records. Those tables and the claimed large test sample have been removed. This worksheet uses values you enter from your client; it has no built-in Crystal Saga Nova rates.
Record the rule before calculating
Read the confirmation screen for the current upgrade step. Record materials per attempt, currency cost, any displayed success chance, and what failure changes. A formula for a fixed-cost attempt is not valid if the cost escalates, the level falls, or a pity system changes the next probability.
What the result means
Affordable attempts are the smaller of floor(material budget ÷ material cost) and floor(currency budget ÷ currency cost). No real-money conversion is made. If you provide a success chance, the optional estimate is 1 − (1 − p)n: the chance of at least one success in n independent, identical attempts. It is not the chance of completing an entire upgrade ladder, and it never guarantees success.
For example, a fictional budget of 100 material units and 1,000 currency, at 10 units and 150 currency per attempt, allows six attempts. These numbers illustrate arithmetic only; they are not Crystal Saga Nova costs. Leave probability blank unless you have an applicable displayed rate.
Compare before and after, not just the tier name
- Copy the actual stat change from the preview.
- Check whether replacement, transfer or failure affects the benefit.
- Compare alternatives using the same resource budget and objective.
- Keep a screenshot or note so a later update does not silently invalidate your assumption.
Why version labels matter
A browser notice introduces PvP gear synthesis through General Krahn in Starglade and names Savage and Glory sets. That notice alone does not supply upgrade probabilities or establish the same system in mobile. We therefore do not turn it into a numerical tier table.
The calculator is a local arithmetic aid, not a spending recommendation. Values stay in the page and are not submitted to us.
