Crystal Saga Nova Wings & Mounts Guide
Wings and Mounts are major stat sticks in Crystal Saga Nova. They look cool, but more importantly they provide massive permanent stat boosts that scale with upgrades. This guide covers how to unlock, upgrade, and prioritize them as F2P.
Wings System
How to Unlock Wings
Wings unlock through the main questline around Level 25 (Day 2-3 for active players). Once unlocked:
- You get Stage 1 wings for free — equip immediately
- Wings provide flat ATK, DEF, and HP that scale with level
- All classes benefit equally from wings (stats are universal)
- Wings are always active — no toggle or activation cost
Wing Stages & Upgrades
Wings progress through stages (Stage 1 → Stage 10+). Each stage gives a new visual appearance and stat jump:
- Stage 1-3: Free through gameplay. Collect Wing Fragments from dailies.
- Stage 4-6: Requires more fragments + Wing Essence (from events/guild shop).
- Stage 7-9: Significant investment. Events are the primary source of materials.
- Stage 10+: Whale territory. Don't stress as F2P.
Wing Fragment Sources
- Daily Wing Trial (3x per day) — Main source, guaranteed drops
- Guild Shop — Buy with guild contribution (limited weekly stock)
- Events — Most events include Wing Fragments in their shop
- Achievement Rewards — One-time milestones give bundles
- AFK Farming — Small chance drop from high-level mobs
💡 F2P tip: As a free player, aim for Stage 5-6 wings within the first month. This is achievable through dailies alone. After that, focus on events for fragments — they're the most efficient source.
Mount System
How to Unlock Mounts
Mounts unlock at Level 40 through the main quest. Unlike wings, mounts have an active ability: increased movement speed.
- Free starter mount at unlock (usually a basic horse)
- Mounts provide: Movement Speed + flat stats (ATK/DEF/HP)
- You can collect multiple mounts — each adds to your total mount stat pool
- Only one mount is "active" (visible), but all collected mounts contribute stats
Mount Tiers
- Common Mounts: Free starter, basic stats. Fine for early game.
- Rare Mounts: From events, guild rewards. 2-3x stats of common.
- Epic Mounts: Major events, lucky gacha. 5x stats + special effects.
- Legendary Mounts: Very rare. Usually from spending events or limited-time.
Mount Training
Feed your mounts daily to increase their star rating (1-10 stars per mount):
- Mount Feed — Basic food, gives small stat boost per feeding
- Premium Feed — From events/shop, gives large boost
- Feed priority: Focus all food on your main (highest rarity) mount first
- Star milestones: Stars 3/6/9 unlock bonus passive effects
Wings vs Mounts: Priority
If resources are limited (they always are for F2P), here's the priority:
- Wings first, always. They unlock earlier, give more total stats, and materials are more accessible.
- Mounts second. The movement speed is nice but stats per resource invested are lower than wings.
- Exception: If an event gives cheap mount materials, grab them. Event shops often have better rates than normal farming.
F2P Progression Timeline
- Week 1: Stage 1-2 Wings (free from quest + a few dailies)
- Week 2: Stage 3 Wings + Unlock mount system
- Week 3-4: Stage 4-5 Wings + Mount to 3-star
- Month 2: Stage 6 Wings + Mount to 6-star
- Month 3+: Stage 7+ Wings (event-dependent), Epic mount collection
Common Mistakes
- Not equipping wings immediately — Even Stage 1 is a huge power boost over nothing.
- Spending diamonds on mount gacha early — The odds are terrible. Save for events with guaranteed rewards.
- Spreading mount food across all mounts — Focus one mount to high stars first.
- Ignoring Daily Wing Trial — It takes 2 minutes and is your main fragment source.
- Choosing mounts over wings when resource-limited — Wings always give better returns.
📌 Summary: Wings unlock at Lv25, mounts at Lv40. Prioritize wings always. Feed one mount only. Do Daily Wing Trial every day. Stage 5-6 wings is a realistic F2P month-1 goal. For class-specific optimization, check the Class Tier List.
